My son sent me 3 nutcrackers when he was stationed in Germany in 1984. What would they be worth?
We frequently buy smokers for $10-25 on Ebay. If you want a better number I would suggest you visit Ebay, do a search for “german smoker” and watch the sales of ones that are like those you have.
One thing we have learned is the Germans value them more highly than folks in the USA do. We tried to buy some on Ebay Germany and were amazed at the prices they bring there.
I have 3 Nutcrackers which state they were made in the
German Democratic Republic. I have had them for several years.

The little red sticker on the bottom says “Erzgebirge”.

Go to Ebay and do a search for nutcracker expertic. That should bring up some nutcrackers related to yours. You may have to check back every so often until you get a close match with yours. When you have a good match check back after the auction closes to see what it went for. That should give you a good feel for values.
